Glynis Osborne

Mrs Glynis Osborne - Appointed Governor

As a nurse and midwife I trained in Liverpool and then went to Zambia as a Theatre Sister before ending up in Hampshire at the Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar. This proved to be the end of my commission as I met my husband to be, an RN surgeon, (eyes over the operating table!) and that was that!

I have lived in Warsash for 36 years, having found a plot to build our family home here. My daughter is the Wedding Coordinator at St Mary's so she keeps me abreast of church events.

I have been a fund raiser for Red Cross, Naomi House, National Childbirth Trust, Prince's Trust and so on, believing that if we have the time and skills it is good to join in community life. I was on the committee at Hampshire Cricket for ten years and there I was able to encourage and sponsor youth cricket.

My husband and I ran a successful medico-legal business prior to this death, and I took a BTEC National in Business and Finance to enhance our skill set.

My six children and thirteen grandchildren keep me, somewhat, in touch with the young and I hope my experience of life and interest in fostering the best in children will be of use to the Governing Body.

I am an appointed governor, appointed by the members of the trust. My terms ends on 31st October 2025. I am a member of the resources committee.
