Clare Denyer

I started my role as a Parent Governor in October 2021 and am proud to have the opportunity to support and be part of our local school.  The Academy’s clear vision, mission and values work well alongside the strategic plan for 2021 and beyond with our children at the heart of improvement and change.  As a parent of a child at the school I am invested in the school’s long-term future – wanting the best for those who attend and work both in and with the school.  I believe there is strength in learning from mistakes and identified areas of improvement.  By being open minded and innovative with such information, (Ofsted 2018 / Strategic Plan), we have a greater chance in shortening attainment gaps, bringing about improved inclusivity and help our children fulfil their potential irrespective or backgrounds or needs.

With nearly 20 years’ experience in Policing – I have a wealth of experience in safeguarding, partnership working and decision making at a strategic level.  I have a particular interest in safeguarding and have taken on an additional role as one of the Safeguarding Governors for the school.

I understand the importance of good education but also the care and attention required from Teachers, School Staff and Governors in order to provide this.  Ensuring money is well spent, teachers are invested in and cared for and that the clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school is maintained and improved is important to me.

We have lived in the Village of Warsash since 2010.

I am a Parent Governor elected by the parents of pupils of the Academy and my term ends on 20th October 2025. I am a member of the curriculum committee and am one of the governors responsible for sadeguarding.
