I live locally in Warsash with my husband and two children. My eldest son currently attends the school, in Year 1, and my youngest boy is due to start in September 2026. I was elected as Parent Governor in October 2025.

Until July 2024, I was a primary teacher and as an ex-service family, we moved around the country for my husband’s work, giving me and opportunity to work in a range of schools - each with their own unique identity and journey that I have been a part of. These experiences allowed me to develop a clear understanding of what quality teaching and learning looks like and a strong recognition of the many challenges schools face. I have remained in Education but in a different capacity - I now work as a Skills & Development Coach with apprentices who are studying to become chartered accountants.

My experiences as both a teacher and a parent equip me with a set of skills which I hope will support the governing body in their decision making and have a positive impact on the community of Hook-with-Warsash CE Academy.

Pecuniary and other interests: My step-brother's father is a teacher at the school.
