Breakfast and After

School Club Parents Guide

OfSTED Registration Number : 366195

Time Out Childcare aims to offer to the children and parents a safe, stimulating homely environment in which the children’s personal, social and educational development can grow.

We are registered with OfSTED for 16 places, for children within Hook with Warsash Academy.

We are based within the Hook with Warsash Academy School, Breakfast Club children should be escorted by a parent/carer to our room in the mornings and After School Club children collected from us at the end of the day.  Years R, 1 & 2 are taken to & collected from their classrooms, whilst Years 3,4,5 & 6 make their own way to and from their class.

Time Out Childcare is open during term time from 7.30am – start of school Monday to Friday (not school closure days) and from the end of school until 6pm. We will be open during most of the holidays from 7.30am to 6pm, at one of our clubs; dates will be given as each holiday approaches.

Cancellations – We cannot give refunds on cancellations or for sickness.

Holidays – If you let us know of a booked holiday, prior to the bill being issued (penultimate week of term), we will adjust payment to a reduced rate per session and keep your child’s place open.

6pm collection Children MUST be collected by 6pm. We are not insured nor do we have the use of the clubroom after this time. Lateness will incur a fine of £5 for every 10 minutes (full or part) after 6pm. If the clubroom is being used or the school needs to be locked we will need to wait, with your child, outside the school building.

Illness – If your child falls ill during club time, yourself or a contact name will be called to collect your child. Time Out Childcare cannot accept a child who has not been at school during the day due to illness.

Please inform the Club, by telephoning  07523 526737,  if your child will not be attending - for whatever reason - Both the School and Time Out Childcare need to be informed separately.

Accidents – We all hold current First Aid certificates. A minor accident will be dealt with and recorded; the child’s parent/guardian will be informed when collected from the club.

In the case of a more serious accident, the appropriate action will be taken and the parents/guardians contacted. Please ensure that you have fully completed the registration forms.

Breakfast Food and timings To allow the children plenty of time to eat prior to the start of their busy day, breakfast is served until 8.10am - We will provide drinks and a choice of food for your child’s breakfast, I.e. toast, cereal, yoghurt, pancakes, fruit etc.

If your child has any dislikes or food allergies you MUST let us know. (Details to be recorded on the registration form.)

Healthy Living – At Breakfast Club please supply your child with a CLEARLY NAMED toothbrush and toothpaste in a suitable bag, in order that they may clean their teeth once they have finished eating.
