Mr Iain Wilkie - Chair of the Resources Committee
I was delighted to be appointed as a Foundation Governor in November 2012 to represent the interests of St Mary’s Church, which I attend regularly. I am a member of the Parochial Church Council and I sing in the choir. My wife and I have lived in Warsash for over 20 years and we have four children. I have previously served on various National and Local Scout Association Committees concerning water activities and in particular sailing. My previous business background saw me heavily involved in senior credit management, corporate banking and asset finance for over 30 years. Following a complete lifestyle change in 2007, I ran my own Driving School in the local area for a number of years, and I am now retired. This allows me to spend more leisure time on my love of music, holidays in France and trying to reduce my golf handicap.
I am a Foundation Governor appointed by the Foundation Members and my term ends on 28 November 2024.
I am Chair of the Resources Committee and a member of the Pay & Appraisal Committee, the Governance & Audit Committee, and the Forging Links Committee. I am also the Governor overseeing the General Date Protection Regulations 2018
I have completed certificated Safer Recruitment Training.
Pecuniary and other interests: none.
