Mrs Sandra Evans - Chair of the Sites & Buildings Committee
After retiring from a 30 year career in IT, my husband and I decided to move to Sarisbury Green, to be nearer to our family. Since then, two of our grandchildren have moved from West London to Warsash and our grandson and granddaughter are now attending Hook-with-Warsash C of E Academy, which they love.
I am a trustee of a charity, which raises money to advance the education and social needs of children in the poorest areas of India. I am delighted to be involved in education at home where I hope to increase my knowledge of the education system here. I hope the skills and experience I gained in my IT career will be of use to the Governing Body to help make the right decisions for the school and the children.
I have seven grandchildren, all living relatively close by, and I love being a big part of their lives. I am looking forward to helping the Academy achieve its aims of providing an inspirational environment for the children.
I am an Appointed Governor appointed by members of the Academy Trust and my term ends on 5 June 2020.
I am a member of the Chair of the Sites & Buildings Committee and a member of the Governance & Audit Committee and of the Pupil Discipline, Curriculum & Early Years Committee. I am the Governor with responsibility for Governor Training and Development and for Health & Safety.
Pecuniary and other interests: Two grandchildren attending the Academy.
