Mr Roger Wingrove - Clerk to the Governing Body
Having graduated from the University of Canterbury with a degree in History, I completed a PGCE year at the University of Nottingham before following a career in teaching which led me to Oxted in Surrey, Sierra Leone, Bromley and Canterbury, during which time I gained an MA in Empire and Commonwealth History from the University of London, before I finished my career as Vice Principal at The Henry Cort Community College in Fareham.
On my retirement I became the Co-ordinator of the Fareham & Gosport 14-19 Consortium, overseeing the introduction of (the now defunct) Diplomas as well as a number of other collaborative ventures. I was also fortunate enough to be appointed as Clerk to the Governing Body at Hook-with-Warsash, becoming Company Secretary on the school's conversion to an Academy.
I enjoy travel, walking, sport and exotic cookery.
