Miss Nicole Whybrow

After leaving school I went to Fareham College and trained for a year to become a Beauty Therapist. I gained many qualifications and worked from home for a short period of time. Looking for a change of career, I volunteered at a few local primary schools; to gain experience and deepen my understanding of the role of a class teacher. After making the decision that I wanted to become a teacher, I went to Itchen College to do A-levels in: English Language and Literature, Sociology, Communication Studies, Law and Psychology. This enabled me to get into Chichester University to study a BA Hons in Primary Education and Teaching, with English as my specialism. Whilst I was at University I was given the opportunity to spend a short time travelling New Zealand and Australia.

I graduated from Chichester University in 2014 and started working at Hook-With-Warsash. Since then, I have taught in classes throughout Key Stage One, with the majority of my teaching time spent in Year One. I am also subject leader in Geography and Outdoor Learning. Alongside teaching, I am currently renovating a period property in the local area, which I have bought with my partner.

I am a Staff Governor (teacher) elected by the members of the teaching staff of the Academy and my term ends on 28th February 2022.

I am a member of the Sites & Buildings Committee.
