Mr David Scott-Batey
I am a married father of 2 boys living in Warsash, one is currently in Year 5 of the Academy and the other in Year 2.
Since graduating with a Management degree from Edinburgh, I have worked in the education sector for almost 20 years supporting and leading education operations to improve children & young people’s learning experience, opportunities and outcomes.
I am currently the Business Director for a large Primary Special School in Southampton with overall responsibility for all business, finance, human, facilities and the estate resources. We are a National Support School, a Lead Teaching School and provide SEN Outreach Services to support other mainstream settings. My previous experience includes Business Director for a 2 primary school Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).
My family all really enjoy living in Warsash and I enjoy the opportunity of helping the school build on its strengths, offering all our children a productive, challenging and happy time.
I am an Appointed Governor appointed by the members of the Academy Trust and my term ends on 15 January 2019
I am a member of the Sites & Buildings Committee. I have completed certificated Safer Recruitment Training and a have a responsibility for Safeguarding and Child Protection. I am also the Governor with responsibility for Pupil Premium (finance) and for Risk Assessments.
Pecuniary and other interests: two children attending the Academy. As a Business Manager for a Local Authority School, I am regarded as a “Local Authority Associated Person.” I am also an associate member of the Governing Body where I work.
